MANILA, Philippines -- Grammy Award Winner Bruno Mars is proud to be Filipino. This, he proudly declared himself during the recent “Doo-Wops & Hooligans” tour in Cebu and Manila.
One of the world’s biggest acts of the year, Bruno whistles the heat of the summer sunshine with his latest single “The Lazy Song.”
“Doo Wops and Hooligans” reached Gold status in just three months exceeding 7,500 units in sales and counting.
Warner Music Philippines team awarded the Gold plaques to Bruno and his co-producer Philip Lawrence just before the start of his Manila concert at the backstage of the Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City.
Bruno just finished collaborating with Charice for her now-hit single “Before It Explodes.”
“It’s a love song. It says, ‘We have to stop the madness before our love explodes,’” says Bruno Mars.
The song was made available for download April 18 on amazon.com and will soon be available in the Philippines soon.
